So how do you fit in? I am not sure I can answer that for you. All new members are voted on after we have recieved a CV or link to a site or some other show of personal experience that shows you will bring something to the project. The process we are exploring here is pretty intense. It requires a deep commitment not only to the project but to the self. People who will fit in to what we are doing will have the ability to take the dark nasty thing that we truely call self and throw it throught the meat grinder then sculpt a david out of it.
Once you are part of the collective, you can start doing research, help edit and write text, throw out ideas on how we can express a particular idea, etc. We will also need help with set design, costume design, making puppets, creating video and music. So you are really only restrained by your earnest desire to be a part of the project. We have realized though that the reality is that we need a full comitment from people because of the commit of those already involved and the work it takes to create a piece of work using the consensus model.
We have also came up with rules of the game. You must be able to agree to these rules.
One: We will be using a wiki to write a play. All our communication will happen on the wiki in order for our process to be transparent and to insure that no one is becoming the patriarch behind closed doors.
Two: We will be using psychology books to create the play therefore we will be reading lots of books.
Three: We will ALL go through our own processes and be self-reflective so it doesn’t come out on stage. This also means that we will all admit that we are narcissists.
Four: We will all use open communication to sort out our shit before we have to get on stage together.
Five: We will all come from a place of love and respect. And Support each other through any processes that we need to go through before getting up on stage.
