I'm very intriged by the idea of a culture's history being recorded in their mythology, not just culture's that have oral histories but also those who have two distinct sets, the written war-based history and the mythological/fairy tale/veiled history. what can be revealed of facts of the shaping of a culture through these stories? what morals/values are indoctrinated to the youth through nursury rhymes and fairy tales. how do these relate to the actual events of a culture, or the evolution based on events?
